Lapu-Lapu
Truth about Philippines

Are Lapu-Lapu people same as Moro people?

Religious battles have always been here. Magellan  represented Catholics in the battle of Mactan. Lapu Lapu was Muslim. Hostility between Catholics and Moro persists in the Philippines to this day.

Lapu-Lapu

Magellan was asked by Cebuano King Don Carlos (Humabon) to help him against Mactan Muslims led by Lapu Lapu. Cebuanos were baptised Catholics and Mactan people were Muslims that time. Neither Lapu-Lapu, nor Magellan were Filipinos, both of them were foreigners: Ferdinand Magellan was Portuguese explorer, Lapu-Lapu was an Indonesian (or maybe Malaysian) retired pirate.

Lapu-Lapu was 70 at the time of the Battle of Mactan. He did not fight in it.
Lapu Lapu came from Borneo to Mactan. He was Indonesian or Malaysian descent.
